It could be the desert landscape, the prospect of up to 300 days of sun a year or access to a slew of unique activities. Whatever the reason, it seems that people can’t get enough of Arizona. It is one of the top 10 most popular states regarding people moving in while Maricopa County is the #1 location in America in terms of population increase. The Phoenix Metropolitan area ranked #4 incidentally.
Clearly, tens of thousands of people are looking for properties in Arizona each year. Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of top homebuilders such as Shea Homes, KB Homes, and Taylor Morrison, there are ample properties available for sale. Let’s take a look at three exciting new home communities that are either opening or in development in Arizona.
1 – Shea Homes: The Reserve in Gilbert, Arizona
On May 6, 2017, Shea Homes was proud to unveil ‘The Reserves,’ a brand new luxury gated community in Gilbert, Arizona. Those fortunate enough to visit say the area is like something out of a postcard. There are four different floor plans to choose from with a starting price of $499,990. As soon as you arrive at The Reserves to view the single-family homes, you’ll marvel at the scenic nature of the area complete with tree-lined streets that welcome you to your new home.
Living space is certainly not an issue when it comes to properties in this splendid gated community. The smallest available home has over 3,200 square feet of space, and lot sizes are around one-third of an acre. During the debut, Shea Homes showed three model properties to prospective residents and stated there would be 90 homes in the community when the project is complete.
Regarding facilities, residents of The Reserves have ample choice. Each Shea Homes property includes a ‘dream kitchen,’ large bedrooms, four-car garages and functional outdoor rooms. There are a number of ‘smart home’ packages on offer so you can automate door locks, lighting, audio/visual equipment and the thermostat. After a hard day at work, you can return home, relax on your sofa and have all the comfort you want with a touch of a button. Advanced Control 4 technology is also available.
The Reserves is located on Val Vista and is close to some of the state’s finest dining and entertainment establishments. Everything you need is just a short drive away in Gilbert. However, you will have lots of fun in your community because of the ramadas, picnic areas, BBQ grills and other amenities in the area. There is even hopscotch for the kids and a giant chess set. The enormous lots combined with Gilbert’s stunning climate means families will have plenty of opportunities to relax outdoors. It is no wonder that properties in The Reserves are selling out fast.
2 – KB Homes: The Enclaves in Santiago, Phoenix
The Shea Homes grand opening came just one day after KB Homes had unveiled its latest gated neighborhood; the Enclaves in Santiago in South Phoenix. The regional general manager of the company’s Arizona operations, Rob McGibney, said KB Homes was delighted to open The Enclaves because it is an area where home shoppers are eager to live.
There is a total of seven-floor plans to choose from in what is an extremely affordable community. Properties range from just $196,990 to $231,990, and there are single and two-story homes on offer. Each property at The Enclaves features a two-car garage, and a minimum of two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Square footage ranges from 1,547 to 2,541. KB Homes plan to build a total of 77 properties at The Enclaves so you can expect the already impressive array of amenities to improve.
If you elect to live at The Enclaves, you are just four miles away from Sky Harbor Airport with several fantastic locations just a few minute’s drive from your home including Phoenix Zoo, Arizona State University, Chandler Fashion Center and a number of excellent schools in the area. If you like the Great Outdoors, you will love The Enclaves because it is close to the beautiful South Mountain Park which features a 16,000-acre nature reserve. The family can hike, bike and enjoy horseback riding. Regarding community facilities, there are playgrounds, a pool, sports courts & fields and a skate park. There is also a basketball half court and a Ramada with a BBQ, a bike rack, and picnic tables.
The homes at The Enclaves feature designer kitchens, master bedrooms, large great rooms and an enormous amount of storage space. Perhaps the best feature of the properties in this community is the fact you can personalize your home to suit your unique tastes and lifestyle. You have the option of using the KB Homes Design Studio; it resembles a showroom and allows you to create the home you’ve always wanted. These new homes are also laden with energy efficient appliances so if you’re in the market for a property in San Tan Valley, get in touch with KB Homes.
3 – Taylor Morrison: Sonoran Gate Summit in Sonoran Desert Preserve, Phoenix
Unlike the other two communities, Taylor Morrison’s Sonoran Gate Summit community has yet to break ground. However, the homebuilder announced that it would create 255 new properties near the Sonoran Desert Preserve in North Phoenix. Effectively, Taylor Morrison is creating a new community in the middle of nowhere in what is a brave and bold move. It is potentially a stroke of genius because the 80-acre site is surrounded by untouched land so that new residents will enjoy the truly breathtaking scenery.
The Desert Preserve covers around 33 square miles and has 34 miles of well-preserved trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There are 21 separate trails to choose from and while it seems as if you are in the wilderness, there are excellent amenities in the region. Also, you are not that far away from Phoenix.
The nearby Sonoran Foothills region has 16 neighborhoods with a vast array of amenities including community pools, basketball courts, soccer parks and tennis courts. Although Taylor Morrison has yet to announce what amenities its Sonoran Gate Summit community will contain, then homebuilder has a reputation for providing residents with everything they need to enjoy luxury near their doorstep. Work is underway, and we eagerly await further announcements from Taylor Morrison.
The above are just three of the many new home communities either newly opened or in the development stage in Arizona. Whether you’re looking for luxury or affordability, you’re guaranteed to find it in the state of Arizona.
