Living in Washington – Plenty of Job & Outdoor Options

WashLiving in Washington State in most cases means enjoying what the outdoors have to offer. The state is full of lakes, beaches on the west coast, mountains, national and state parks and plenty of scenery. The beaches on the coast are great getaways in the summer and the weather is normally quite pleasant there during this season. The lakes provide great places for boating, fishing, swimming and the mountains offer hiking trails, camping and watching nature. The winter gives the option of skiing on the various mountains in the state. Golf courses and wineries also exist throughout the state. The weather does consist of several days, or weeks and sometimes even months of overcast skies and drizzly rain, but many people living in Washington would agree that when the weather is good, it’s worth the wait. People that have lived elsewhere like the cooler climate especially during the summer months. There is the option of living in a city such as Seattle, or living in a much more rural area. Washingtonians are also known to be very friendly and neighborly people. The state offers employment in technologies to jobs in trade and agriculture and even fishing. Washington being positioned on the Pacific Ocean and bordering Canada puts it in a very important location for trade for the United States. Boeing aircraft is located in Washington and has been in business there since 1915. Several reports show Washington is a great place for business in general and for starting a new business.

Living in Washington gives a special quality to life by having places to play and work in a friendly community. It’s great for families since the state is within the top ten in the country for a high rate of high school graduates in addition to having a strong school system. Washington also has a higher than average percentage of adults with bachelor degrees.
