We have an Epcon Community is Columbia also. However, they aren’t on the forefront like some of the other companies but they have a nice product.

WOW! 1950 acres? That is a nice tract of land for this area. Typically when someone takes on a project of this size they really have to know what they are doing. A good sales and marketing team is the key to success for real estate ventures of this size. BTW, well-written post Mike.

We have similar sized developed subdivisions for sale in the Columbia SC suburbs (Blythewood). Overall, do you find that developers are slowing down or starting to build new homes as compared to 2008-2009?

Not at all, Brian- thanks for the comments. I agree, what was once the new “trendy” pick is now a big part of new construction. We will be seeing more of this down the pipe…no doubt.

I hope that I’m not overstaying my welcome here by replying regularly. But, I’ve been trying to dive into energy efficient home standards. It’s fascinating to see that what was once a trend has made its way into every aspect of our life. Thanks to the home-builders for applying their knowledge and resources to do their part for our planet and our pockets…pennies make dollars.
