Not at all, Brian- thanks for the comments. I agree, what was once the new "trendy" pick is now a big part of new construction. We will be seeing more of this down the pipe...no doubt.

I hope that I'm not overstaying my welcome here by replying regularly. But, I've been trying to dive into energy efficient home standards. It's fascinating to see that what was once a trend has made its way into every aspect of our life. Thanks to the home-builders for applying their knowledge and resources to do their part for our planet and our pockets...pennies make dollars.

Greenville has been on the forefront of the South Carolina real estate market for years. With Anderson being a few miles from Greenville, I find it hard to believe that it is a struggling market. Of course, I also find it hard to believe that banks have taken such a large hit on their defaulted mortgages. It's a strange time for Real Estate. I have no doubt that South Carolina will prosper and hope that Anderson will once again thrive with new homes and a stable market. Be patient and continue to maintain an ethical and honest business and things should work themselves out. Good luck neighbor!

I like the open porches that are so common with historical homes in Charleston. I'm glad that there are new construction homes with these features (as shown in the photograph). It seems that many tract builders are adding extra touches to make their homes unique. I LIKE IT! Goo luck with the sales.

Hi Mike,
I just looked through some of the homes on your website. Park West appears to be a high quality neighborhood. Mount Pleasant must be the ‘Hot Spot’ in Charleston. I’ve always liked James Island and the Folly Beach area, and who wouldn’t want to live in Isle of Palms. Columbia has similar neighborhoods like Lake Carolina but I think that being near Historic Charleston and the coast is probably the main difference in market values.

By the way, nice website. I searched through your web site blog also. Hopefully we can do some business together sometime.

Yep, I have been practicing real estate for over 10 years now and Mungo has always been relevant in our market. There is a neighborhood called Wren Creek in Blythewood that they launched recently. Mostly high end homes in a booming market...even in these times. I once thought of them as low quality tract builders but my perception of their company has changed tremendously. I'm happy to see them building quality homes in my home town. If they build homes similar to the style that are in Blythewood they should create a competitive market there.
