Real estate in Orange County 

The value of homes in Orange County has seen the biggest decline in years. The median sales price decreased 19.4 percent. Some experts have said that the real estate market has already bottomed out, which means that the price of a new home will again start to increase in value.

If you were considering buying a new home but were thrown off because of the mortgage crash, you may want to start thinking about it again. With new home prices at an all time low and in an attempt to build new home sales, builders have sweetened the pot to try and increase sales. In attempt to increase sales new home builders are giving away their biggest incentives in years. From high-end kitchens, stainless steel appliances, to even giving away a brand new Hummer. Builders are trying to get new home shoppers interested in buying again.

Two months ago, in February, DR Horton announced an unheard of 50 percent off various homes from 23 participating neighborhoods, dubbed their “Unauction” sale. Another big builder in Orange County, K. Hovnanian Homes is currently offering its new home buyers a helping hand in selling the home they currently live in. As part of their new incentive package, “From Your Home to Ours”, which includes a free home inspection, a visit by a staging consultant, a market analysis, and offering the potential buyer a one-year home warranty. KHov will give the potential buyer of your home a one-year home warranty.

These are just a few of the many home builders in Orange County and there is a lot more incentives to be seen yet. Start looking around at some of the prices and incentives offered by Orange County home builders, because the time maybe near to get you into a brand new home.
