The city of Tucson is located in Pima County 118 miles southeast of Phoenix and 60 miles north of the US-Mexico border. The city is the center of the second largest metropolitan area in Arizona, the Tucson Metropolitan Area. The 2006 Census Bureau estimated that the cities population was 518,956 and that the metropolitan areas population was 946,362. With gorgeous weather and so much to do, Tucson, Arizona is a great place to grow up, work and retire. There are numerous suburbs throughout Tucson such as Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Vail, and Green Valley. Tucson is the home of the University of Arizona.
