Tempe, Arizona is an exciting city with a little over 169,000 residents. The city of Tempe was incorporated in November 29, 1894 and consists of 40.2 square miles. Tempe is bordered by Scottsdale to the north, Chandler to the south, Mesa to the east and Phoenix and Guadalupe to the west. Arizona State University is positioned right in the middle of the city only minutes away from Sky Harbor International Airport and a new light rail system opening later this year. Though Tempe is a landlocked and an established city, new communities of condominiums are being built around Tempe Town Lake.
