Construction continues throughout Del Sur, including two new neighborhood parks under way. Kristen Glen, the community’s fifth park, will include a lap pool and hot tub, as well as a grass and stone labyrinth. Old Stonefield, offering a play area with swings, will be Del Sur’s sixth neighborhood park. Both are expected to be completed in the spring.
In addition to new recreational amenities at the master-planned community, Del Sur construction activity includes three new home neighborhoods of single-family detached homes by California West Communities and Standard Pacific Homes. New phases of homes also are under way by Davidson Communities and Shea Homes.
Transportation improvements, including the widening of Camino Del Sur to four lanes and the completion of connector road Babcock, also have started at Del Sur.
Grading of 160 acres on the property is expected to be started soon and will make room for new homesites to be released for sale to builders in late 2011.
The master-planned community of Del Sur includes two neighborhood schools. Del Sur Elementary and Del Norte High School are part of the prestigious Poway Unified School District, one of the highest-ranking districts in the county and state.
Del Sur is located in the coastal hills of North County, just a few miles from the coast. New-home neighborhoods now selling include: Bridgewalk by Standard Pacific Homes, Madeira and Mandolin by Shea Homes, and Pasado by William Lyon Homes.
