Edgewater Homes.The Lakes Above Rancho Santa Fe

Nestled in the foothills adjacent to Rancho Santa Fe, the arid landscaping and mountain scenery provide a breathtaking setting for this upscale gated community. The houses are large and luxurious, with floor plans ranging from 3,840 square feet to 4,570 square feet. The sparkling lakes are surrounded by parks and walking trails, providing ample recreational opportunities for area residents. The model home features top-of-the-line everything, professionally landscaped front and back yards, on a lakeside lot with lake and mountain views.

The Lakes has been a popular alternative to nearby Carmel Valley homes. Homes at The Lakes are priced lower than similar homes in Carmel Valley and the lot sizes are larger. Shopping and services are available in nearby Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain, and Carmel Valley. But The Lakes offers a distinctly quiet, rural atmosphere, which is still convenient to everything that San Diego has to offer.

Nat Bosa is quoted this week in the San Diego Union Tribune with his thoughts about the current market for new homes in downtown San Diego, the events which have led the market to where it is today, and the direction that the real estate market is heading. Mr. Bosa is an experienced real estate developer, age 64, and in the real estate business for most of his life. Originally from Vancouver, he has been building new homes in San Diego since 2001, and his track record is unmarred by failure.

Looking back, Bosa largely blames the banks for leading us into the housing downturn by making so many loans to unqualified home buyers. At present Mr. Bosa feels that San Diego real estate is a huge bargain. He is puzzled by the reluctance of qualified home buyers to buy at today’s prices.

Modern designs are the hallmarks of San Diego condos by Bosa.

Mr. Bosa says properties downtown are so “stinking cheap, it’s ridiculous”. He confidently says that reluctant home buyers will be sorry if they don’t buy now because “Prices are going to rise instantly by 20 to 25 percent from where they are today.” How does Mr. Bosa know? He’s been through a lot of market downturns and recoveries. “I’ve seen it every time”, he says.

Bridgewalk at Del Sur, built by Standard Pacific, is a stylish new home community in Rancho Bernardo. The Del Sur neighborhood is at the Northwest corner of the Camino Del Sur, just north of Santaluz, East of the Crosby Estates, and Southwest of 4S Ranch.
