Some of our website visitors may be searching for a new home and in some cases, for whatever reason, they end up deciding to wait on purchasing and decide that renting better fits their needs. If this is you, you might find the recently launched rentBits.com useful. Yesterday I discovered this search engine, which allows you to search the databases of several rental property sites in the same way you use Google, Yahoo! and MSN.
rentBits.com does much of the road work for you and allows you to quickly visit several websites from the comfort of one. I like the site because it provides users with a simple and non-intrusive surf experience and as the websites exposure grows, it will become a better resource. I would like to see if they could allow users to include items like “tile flooring” or “stainless steel appliances” as search options.
Another great thing about this search engine is that it is simple to input your property information and make it available for rentBits visitor searches. If I am not mistaken, anyone with several rental properties can submit them to rentBits for inclusion in their search engine and there is no charge for inclusion.
After completing a few search queries, I was able to find the description and pictures of several rental properties in many states; each description also has a quick link to the properties website so users can easily find out more information. The search engine went live yesterday and already has an attractive database of properties from several well-known sites. If you are searching for homes for rent or are a property manager, make sure you check out rentBits.com to see how their service can help you.
Is there another search engine similar to rentBits.com?

I went to check out the site and the first two listings in Austin, TX were the same property, but offered at two different prices. That makes me question the integrity of the data right away.
Gosh, another site that has low quality controls.
@Sam – thanks for pointing this out. I’m sure that it’s because the sites they’re pulling data from have different pricing. It works like a search engine so I’m curious to see how they combat this. Definitely is questionable.
Thanks for the information. I’m starting a website in my region that showcases my various rentals. I’ll check this site out. It sounds like some people here are complaining about it, but it still give it a peek, especially if landlords can post for free.
