I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
What does move in ready mean? Furnished, cable and internet?

Hi Gwen,
Move-in ready does not include furniture, cable, or Internet… unfortunately. The term implies that the house if fully completed and ready for immediate occupancy. When a buyer chooses to purchase a move-in ready home, he/she usually does not get to select from available options, i.e. cabinet colors, countertop colors, carpet or tile options either.

I think most of the houses you are showcasing here and their prices are an absolute bargain. I am not sure, by the looks and their conditions, the pricetags are certainly not too high. Thanks for the helpful info.
Rick, I like the blog tons. Perhaps in the future, would you consider doing video marketing for them so that readers such as Gwen could see what move-in ready means? I agree that some people will think this is “fully furnished” but I think a vid will help out on some of your posts. Keep up the good work. We are going to be doing videos on our BLOG and I think its a good way to captivate the audience.

I am not familiar with the California market but the prices seem very reasonable.

Wow I’m surprised at the prices of those homes! They seem a lot more affordable then I thought it’d cost to live in California. I’m guessing the economy has really taken the prices down a fair bit. What a great opportunity to move away from the rental and buying a place.
