Quail Run Epitomizes Southern Design Thanks to Architects

The design of the homes in Quail Run is distinctly southern, and Greater Valley Group has two Georgia architects to thank for that.

Greater Valley Group commissioned James L. Strickland, founder and president of Atlanta-based Historical Concepts and L. Mitchell Ginn, founder of Nenwan-based L. Mitchell Ginn and Associates, Inc. Together the pair has over 50 years of design experience.

Strickland has been recognized nationally for his design of southern historic homes. Most recently, he helped design the 2010 Southern Living Idea Home in Senoia, Ga. as well as the 2006 Southern Living Idea House on Daniel Island in South Carolina. Additionally, he contributed to the Reames Residence in Atlanta, which was the recipient of the 2008 Shutze Award.

Strickland worked closely with GVG during Quail Run’s initial design stages and designed what is known as the Cannon House in the community. Ginn was brought in shortly after the initial design elements were in place and created several plans, including the Kendall, Ashley, Rutledge and Miss Maggie models.

Quail Run is located just five miles north of downtown West Point and offers elegant three and four bedroom homes from the $180s. The community is perfect for anyone looking to live near Kia, or retirees looking for low tax rates.
