New Hunting Preserve to Open Near Greater Valley Area

Residents of Greater Valley Group’s Quail Run and Riverside Estates communities can add another nearby activity to their lists. With the first day of dove season – September 4 – Twisted Pine Hunting Preserve will be open for business.

The preserve, located on the Alabama and Georgia state line, contains over 2,100 acres of pristine hunting land. The preserve is divided into two properties: a 1,700 acre piece of land in Chambers County, Alabama for deer and turkey hunts, and a 45-acre field for dove hunts in Harris County, Georgia.

The preserve is managed by Kyle Farner, who received his degree in Fishery, Wildlife and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University. He will oversee all of the preserves operations, which include controlled burns, supplemental feed, mineral stations, food plots, predator control and selective harvests. All of these practices will ensure ideal hunting conditions as well as mature bucks, gobblers and dove.

Homebuyers are flocking to the Greater Valley Area not just for the beautiful natural resources, including West Point Lake, but also to live near Kia and its suppliers.
