We stayed at a KOA outside of Santa Fe and enjoyed eating green chili stew and fishing. I just sold a GREEN home in Leander, near Austin, that was Southwestern/New Mexico influenced. Made of ICF (Insulated Concrete Panel constuction, ex. Rastra), it had a stucco exterior. Our juniper enhanced Hill Country reminds me of New Mexico. Many of the builders in Central Texas have tried to imitate or utilize the New Mexicican or southwestern style of archtecture and color schemes.
