Atlanta, Georgia home builder – John Wieland, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Creative Officer of John Wieland Homes – has vowed to travel the Southeast in a Winnebago motor home and sleep in unfurnished homes until 101 new homes go under contract.
Every evening Wieland will bring his own mattress into a different home – carpeted with running water, and spend the night.
Wieland stated that he hopes to meet the 101 home sale quota within 40 days. In order to achieve this, an average of just over two homes per day must be sold.
In effort to accomplish his goal, Wieland will be on site at Wieland communities in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee to speak one-on-one with prospective homebuyers.
“I think I’ll see the beginning of April still sleeping on the floor. But not much of April,” said Wieland.
Currently, there are 380 unsold John Wieland Homes in the four states that the builder provides new home communities in.
Wieland’s tour began on Friday, March 6, at noon.
