Wow, can you say desparate? If any of these are in even partially established neighborhoods, what is this doing to values of existing homes?
I’d be lying if I said that it doesn’t decrease the value of the homes. I’d also be lying if I said that the value of these homes would stay the same if they just sat there for months and months and months without selling.
The longer the homes sit, the longer it’s going to take for a recovery of some sort so I say sell however possible and get rid of the inventory.
My goodness. There’s marketing and then there is…I’m not sure what to call this. Thank you for this eye-opening post. I’m happy I’m not trying to sell a property in that market. I hope it’s not a harbinger of things to come across the country.
