Heron Bay Golf & Country Club Hosts the 6th Annual Goblin Gallop

race start pic smallFall season is upon us, and for Heron Bay Golf & Country Club it’s the season for the annual Goblin Gallop. Heron Bay is a master-planned community located south of Atlanta in Locust Grove. They have a wide range of new homes available, from active adult focused to custom built and everything in between. Prices on these homes range from the high $100’s to over $1 million, ensuring that whatever you are looking for in a new home can be found at this exquisite community. Heron Bay also features a long list of resort-style amenities, including an 18-hole Cannongate Golf course as well as aquatic park, hiking trails, sports/recreational field, playgrounds and more.

One of the great things about Heron Bay (besides the fabulous amenities and affordable homes) is the fact that they host a myriad of events that help to promote a sense of community. In addition, Heron Bay is always eager to give back to the community as well. One such event that accomplishes both of these tasks is the Goblin Gallop. The race offers three different events: 6K fun run, 1 mile walk/run and a tot trot. This year’s event is scheduled for October 24th with the races commencing at about 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is encouraged, but same-day registration will also be available beginning at 4:00 p.m. on race day.

The Goblin Gallop is meant to bring people together in a fun and festive way for a good cause. All proceeds benefit the Hands of Hope Clinic, which is Henry County’s only free medical and dental clinic. Race participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, and awards will be given for the most creative. With three different events, the Goblin Gallop is fun for the entire family – and is there better way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon in Atlanta?

Sponsorship opportunities are available if interested.
