When it comes to choosing the right neighborhood to live in there is a host of things to consider. One factor that may not have entered your mind is whether or not the neighborhood has community committees that residents can participate in. Heron Bay Golf & Country Club has this taken care of. After the community was built in 2003 four community committees were initiated by the Heron Bay Community Association Board of Directors.
These four committees handle tasks ranging from planning social events to ensuring neighborhood safety to creating high levels of communication with the surrounding community. The four committees that handle such various tasks as these mentioned are the Positive Standards Committee, the Safety/Pool Committee, the Community Liaison Committee and the Social Activities Committee. These committees help bring the community together by creating a common goal of improving the community.
The Positive Standards Committee was created to help enforce the covenants and guidelines within Heron Bay & Country Club and to raise levels of communication within the community so anyone can have a voice. The Safety/Pool Committee works to ensure community safety throughout Heron Bay and specifically focuses on safety at the three aquatic center pools, the Lakefront Park, and the sports field and tennis courts. Members investigate and suggest policies to the Heron Bay Board of Directors and Management. The Social Activities Committee plans fun events that allow neighbors to meet such as Holiday Parties, Community Wide Garage Sales and Dive-in Movies just to name a few. The Community Liaison Committee works to support all three of these committees and can address any issues. The combination of these committees help to distinguish Heron Bay from other master planned communities.

Having such resident welfare communities at your neck of the woods is a positive sign for a lucrative market. They also have some attractive addons like the drive in movie and garage sales. Such things promotes the good values about living in a good community and if done in a great manner will start to attract outsiders also.

Committees in a community wouldn’t bother me at all. Actually, I’d prefer to not join any at all.
