Greater Valley Group Building for Expanding Population

Kia has come to West Point, Ga. and is growing the population along with it.  Greater Valley Group is working on over a dozen development projects to serve the current and new population of West Point, as well as neighboring Lagrange, and Alabama cities of Lanett and Valley.  Kia is expected to employ close to 3,000 people which ought to add an additional 5,000 jobs to the community.

Greater Valley Group’s projects include:

Single Family Homes

Quail Run is a master-planned community with homes starting in the low $200s.  The communities’ homes contain energy-saving features, such as cellulose insulation and Energy Star Whirlpool appliances.  The exteriors showcase traditional southern architecture with roomy porches.  A pool, pavilion and tennis courts are planned, with the pool scheduled to open Memorial Day 2010.

Riverside Estates is a golf-course community with homes from the mid $300s.  The large wooded lots provide privacy and serenity, but the short walk (or golf cart drive) to the country club gives ample opportunity to socialize.  If maintenance-free living is more desirable, a The Overlook at Riverside is a planned 75-unit condo complex.  Each luxury condo home will have a scenic view of the golf course.

Apartment Living

Over 900 apartment units are available in three communities.  Two of these were completed the summer of 2008.  The third, adjacent to the new buildings, was recently renovated.

Hotel Stays

Greater Valley Group has two lodging options for visitors of the Greater Valley Area.  An award-winning Hampton Inn & Suites was opened in April 2009, and a Holiday Inn Express was purchased and renovated.  Both are also convenient for suppliers and guests of Kia.
