For the influx of residents flocking to fill the new job positions in the area around the new Kia plant, it can be hard when shopping for new homes in West Point. Greater Valley Group has recently announced the opening of The Ridge at Quail Run, offering single-family homes from the $180s.
Not only is Quail Run a popular choice for Kia employees and its suppliers, the community has recently become an ideal neighborhood for retirees looking to pay less than $1,000 annually in property taxes. The master-planned community also offers a vast array of amenities, including a pool, custom pavilion, tennis courts, a fishing lake and multi-purpose sports field. Plus, Quail Run is located next to Twisted Pines Hunting Preserve, and is near West Point Lake, the Chattahoochee River and Riverside Country Club.
Also located in Quail Run is The Park, a section of the community with homes starting from the $200s. Southern elegance epitomizes all floorplan designs, as they feature sweeping porches and details reminiscent of traditional Southern architecture.

Looks like a beautiful community. It’s always nice to see an area benefit from a major employer like Kia coming in and setting up a plant to provide some much needed jobs. I’m curious about the less than $1000 a year in property taxes for retirees though? Where do I sign up?!
