28 Apr 08 Gilbert, Arizona Real Estate – Home Sales Increase!

An Arizona State University study recently reported that Gilbert home sales increased in March, for the second month running. There was a total of 295 sales in March which is an increase of five sales from the same time last year. The rest of the valley was not as fortunate, as some areas of Metro-Phoenix experienced up to a twenty percent decline in March 2008 in comparison to March 2007.

The slight increase in home sales can be attributed to the fact that now is simply a better time to buy. Many buyers are begging to believe that the market has ‘bottomed-out’ and that now is a great time to invest in a new home because prices are considerably lower than they were last year. Furthermore, Gilbert home builders are offering unheard of incentives and special offers to help decrease their inventories.

Perhaps the recent rise in sales of Gilbert homes is a sign that the market is beginning to rebound, but for now only time will tell.
