This is a guest post by my friend Shannon Bilby who writes for Fulton Home’s blog.
When Ira Fulton started Building homes 30 years ago, he didn’t want to be one of the biggest, just the best. Since then, Fulton has become one of Arizona’s largest home builders known for building affordable, high-quality single-family homes.
Fulton Homes takes pride in being a leader in technology in the home building industry. Fulton is among the most technologically advanced home builders in the country. This allows for a more efficient home building process and a more satisfied customer. To read more about what sets a Fulton Home apart from the rest, please visit the Fulton Homes blog.
Aside from building a quality home, Fulton Homes has contributed more than $300 Million to Arizona’s schools, communities and children. Various programs include “The Fulton Homes Fence Patrol,” which installs free pool fences to needy families, “Teacher of the Week,” which recognizes outstanding Valley educators, and “Proud to Own the 3-Point Zone,” a joint effort with Fulton Homes and the Phoenix Suns charities. Note that Ira Fulton doesn’t believe in “free lunches”! He believes in teaching people how to buy their own lunches and how to provide for themselves. He says that if you do that – you build character, self-esteem, and pride.

It’s always great to see successful companies giving back to the communities that support them. Wishing you continued success for another 30 years!
More than $300 and growing. And I think the time and effort spent on those projects were not factored in that figure.
Good job!

Though many feel that good companies should give back to the community, I think for companies community service is more of a PR initiative not an obligation as they grow by doing good job in the first place.
