Hi Jason,
I agree with before comment that homes need to be built more efficiently. Energy is on everyone’s minds lately. Green” technology ideas usually emerge from the west coast and work their way east. It will be interesting to monitor this trend as it spreads across the country.

Hi Jason – I agree that homes need to be built more efficiently. Unfortunately the cost is so high. I have a friend who built one in LA (using a lot of solar) but its more of a show piece these days as no one can afford to purchase the house!

conserving energy is a great first step too. The second is making sure your house is built with GREEN in mind. A lot of the renovations will pay for itself in the long run.

What I have heard is that these homes offer the owners a great comfort besides whatever it does on the energy part. Its a welcome sign that builders across the globe are encouraging the green home methodology and getting more energy conscious.
