–>Skip Week #5 Details – Take Me to Week #6<--
It’s Tuesday and time to see who won last week’s Charity Football Pool. There were a lot of close picks, I wasn’t close, but it went down to Monday’s points so we had a nice competition.
This was a week of upsets; Cleveland got their first win of the year. Atlanta and Michael Turner decided to show up for the game this week, the week I decided to put Turner on the bench in Fantasy Football (he rushed for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns)!
Alright, back to last week’s results. We had a total of 8 people sign up and participate in our first charity football pool and we raised $80, which isn’t too shabby. I’d like to personally thank all of you and hope to see you and your friends back this week.
Last week there were several people who had 4 loses along with Chuck, but he was closer on points so he won the tiebreaker. The total points on Monday equaled 58, as you can see below, Chuck picked 44. Congratulations Chuck, you just donated $80 to the Phoenix Crisis Nursery.
Chuck’s a retired attorney so we can’t plug his business this week, but hopefully next week’s lucky winner still has a job.

Alright, lets get ready for week 6: Here’s how it works… Each week during the NFL football regular season, we will be posting a list of team matchups. From there, contestants must select which team they think is going to win each matchup. The contestant who picks the most winning teams is then allotted the entire donation amount ($5 per contestant), 100% of all entry monies will be donated to the charity of the winner’s choice on behalf of the winner.
Yes, this is very similar to regular office football pools. And yes, there are a few rules that will be stated in bullet points:
• $5 to enter, no more, no less.
• If there is a tie, the winner will be determined by the contestant who predicts Monday’s game score within the closest amount of points (over or under the score).
• If the above tie breaker results in yet another tie, the winnings will be split among each of the winners.
Below are this week’s football matchups. Copy and paste the following to a word processor or text file and email to footballpool@newhomessection.com, or leave a list of your winning teams and the combined score of the Monday night game in the comments below, before midnight Saturday. All bets are off Sunday. **Please include in your email your email used to submit the donation and don’t worry, you can donate now and pick your teams tomorrow.
