Phoenix is not only the largest city in Arizona, but also the county seat of Maricopa County and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States with an estimated 4.2 million-plus residents. People flock to this desert oasis, also known as the Valley of the Sun, to take advantage of year-round sunshine, reasonably priced housing, and a strong job market.

As America’s sixth largest city, Phoenix is full of activities and shopping destinations, including Scottsdale Fashion Square, Chandler Fashion Center, Biltmore Fashion Park, and Desert Sky Mall. Phoenix is also well known for having several fine dining restaurants, such as Donovan’s Steak & Chop House, Quiessence Restaurant & Wine Bar, Tarbell’s, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House to name just a few. Phoenix features a multitude entertainment venues as well, including professional sports, live shows and performances, and nightlife activities, such as bars, clubs, and formal gatherings of all sorts.

For the past 10 to 15 years Phoenix has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the country and prior 2007 its growth rate was second only to Las Vegas, whose population had grown 29.2% in comparison to Phoenix’s 24.2% during the same period of time.
